I was looking to make a simple t-shirt that I could wear with shorts or underneath a pinafore. This Reagan Raglan pattern is FREE for all Bella Sunshine Designs Facebook group members and there is also a Kids version. Its a raglan design and the shaping is very flattering. BSD describe it as:

Both v-neck and scooped neckline options make the pattern more versatile. The sleeve band not only makes for a nice detail, but also makes the sleeve super easy to hem. Plus, since the pattern comes with a top, tunic and a dress length as well as both long and short sleeves, it makes it perfect for every season.  And since a bust adjustment is included in the pattern, it takes the guesswork out of fitting for the bust. Sewing Level: Confident Beginner.

I decided to make the Reagan Raglan in a t-shirt length with scoop neck and short sleeves. I managed to use some left-over fabric that I had but needed to make a join in the front bodice. The pdf instructions are very good with lots of hints and tips and nice diagrams.

My over-bust measurements put me in a size 10 but I opted to make the next size up as I didn't want the top to be a snug fit across the bust. This turned out well - the Reagan Raglan is a comfy fit: not too tight or too baggy.

I liked the idea of combining two fabric colours/patterns and tried different combinations before deciding to go with black sleeves with contrast band and bodice with black band.

This is a quick sew and the Reagan Raglan came together really easily. I used my serger for all the seams and top stitched with the zigzag option on my sewing machine.

This is a great pattern to add to your collection especially as there are many options included - I'll be using this all year round - I'd like to make the dress version, perhaps adding a frill to the bottom.
