The Laundry Day Tee, Love Notions Patterns

Just how many Laundry Day Tees does One need????

Most mornings I walk my Border Terrier and I just want something easy and practical to wear with leggings or jeans. The Laundry Day Tee is perfect for this - the swing shape and length is flattering and there are so many options to choose from. Can you believe this Pdf Pattern is FREE?? On their website it is listed at $5 which is a very reasonable price but if you join their Pattern Support Facebook Group you receive a code so you can pick up The Laundry Day Tee for FREE.

The Laundry Day Tee comes in sizes XS - 5X and has so many options:

  • 3 hem lengths: shirt, tunic and dress

  • High/low hem for the tunic and dress length

  • 3 necklines: scoop, v-neck and cowl

  • 5 sleeve lengths: tank, short, elbow, 3/4 and long

The Laundry Day Tee Pdf Pattern comes in US letter, A4, A0 and a projector file - all in a trimless format with layers.

I have made The Laundry Day Tee by Love Notions before. I've made the Sleeveless Tank version (reviewed here) and the Long Sleeved Dress Version (reviewed here). I really love the fit as a FBA (Full Bust Adjustment) is included in the pattern. The outcome is a very good fit across the chest and under the arms for me and I really appreciate the flare shape which skims over the stomach and hips.

I had some striped pink and black lightweight knit from Forever Fabrics but only a metre. I was able to get the body and cuffs out of this fabric and used some left over black knit fabric for the sleeves and neck binding. I really love how this worked out - especially the contrast cuffs.

The Laundry Day Tee is really easy and quick to sew and the instructions are very clear so no sooner had I finished that one then I was hunting around for more fabric to make another. I had some left over lightweight fleece after making my Asymmetric Drape Cape - just enough to cut out a Tunic Length with a Hi - Low Hem and Cowl Neck. I didn't have quite enough fabric to cut out the full cowl pattern piece so mine has less depth to it but I think the proportions of it look fine.

I'm very happy with (all) my Laundry Day Tees and really recommend this pattern. There are so many options that you can create and really once you have a great bodice that fits you can start creating your own patterns from it.
