I've had the I Heart You Set saved for a while now. It's listed on the George & Ginger website for $5 but if you watch this YouTube VIDEO you can claim a coupon code which allows you to grab the I Heart You Set for FREE!

The I Heart You Set includes a Tee and Shorties. There are only four paper pattern pieces to cut out and you don't need much fabric. I chose to add 10 cms to the inseam length as the drafted shorts are really short - I wanted something I could wear around the house.

All of the instructions are on the video but its really quick and easy to put together - definitely a great project for a beginner. I used my serger for the seams and sewing machine for the hems but you could definitely make both garments with just a sewing machine.

Suggested fabric for the I Heart You Set is knit with 50% stretch, such as cotton lycra, rayon spandex or french terry. I'd bought this jersey from George's Material Shop just before lockdown because I loved the design - perfect for pyjamas!

This is a great pattern and takes only a few hours to put together from start to finish. I really like the fit of the Tee and could easily use the pattern to make more day-wear suitable tops. This would also be great if you like to sew gifts - what about matching pyjamas for your bridesmaids? The size range is good, going from full bust 28.5" up to 55.5". You could easily adapt the pattern like I did by lengthening the shorts but you may also like to add a lace trim.

Final Thoughts: A great FREE pattern that will be used again and again!
