I've already made a Be Mine Cardigan in the boho length with ruffle sleeves (my Review is here) but really wanted a shorter version too so decided to make the bolero length, still with ruffle sleeves as they're a design feature I like.

The Be Mine Cardigan Pdf comes in A0, A4, US Letter and Projector versions with Layers enabled. It's available in sizes XXS - 6XL which is full bust 29" - 61". The pattern is drafted for a Curvy Fit Size Chart based on a female body type with a height of 5'5" and a 8" side waist. Recommended fabric is 50% 4-way stretch knit.

So, this isn't a review but I thought I'd share my pictures with you. I had some fabric left over from making my Lively Dress - a lovely soft touch ITY from poundfabrics.co.uk and could make this cardigan from about 1 metre.

The features of The Be Mine Cardigan I like are:

  • The Ruffle Sleeve Option: great if you like to wear a lot of bangles

  • The Hi-Low Shape: covers your bum!

  • The Gathered Skirt: enough gathers to be flattering without looking like a sack of potatoes

  • The Banding: this gives a very neat finish, especially if you topstitch it.

I'm pleased with the Bolero Length of my Be Mine Cardigan - it's very practical and easy to wear. I know I will make more as they're so easy to make and satisfying to sew. I do recommend this pattern and it's definitely worth checking the Weekly Sale and Free Patterns Section on Ellie & Mac's website as this pattern quite often reappears at a discounted price.
